Core Work

What Sam Does

Live Sound Engineering

Running front-of-house and monitors at Wunderbar, Lyttelton's iconic live music venue. Making bands sound their best, night after night.

Audio Systems

Connected devices, ethernet audio networks, MIDI integration, and hybrid systems bridging old and new mixing consoles. Envisions autonomous audio systems controlled by AI.

Event Booking

Building a booking calendar for Wunderbar bands and events. A system where bands can apply, check availability, and confirm gigs.

Beyond the Mixer

Other Interests

Car Detailing

Making cars look their best. Researching chemistry for mixing and spraying. Dreams of a courtesy-car service.

HiFi & Car Audio

Selling and installing speakers and amps for home, clubs, and cars.

Collectables

Computers, phones, toys, gaming consoles, artwork. Repair, repurpose, resell. Creating art with "old" technology.

Music Creation

Sound recording, producing, and performing. Turning ideas into sound.

The Crew

The Wallace Family Mission

Wallace Corp Vision

A family working together to build automated systems for their businesses. Efficiency, fairness, and community at the core.

Will & Jarvis

Will built Jarvis, an AI operating system, and Bar Pilot — the Wunderbar operations platform. Technology as the backbone.

Sam's Role

The audio expertise, the hands-on creativity, and a unique perspective. Together with Dad, building something real.

"I want to keep it all within the family but also provide work for other people who deserve it, for those who actually want to help us in our mission and succeed and get paid fairly for the effort they put in."

The Future

The Sound Vision

"Live in Lyttelton and beam internet to the bar"

Connectivity as infrastructure. Always on, always ready.

"Open ceiling acoustics — letting the space breathe"

Sound design that works with the room, not against it.

"A device that can take over the audio situation — XLRs, quarter-inch jacks, RCAs"

Universal connectivity. Every input, every output, one system.

"Top-end equipment to match the vision"

No compromises. The gear has to match the ambition.

The future: AI-assisted live mixing, room-aware sound systems, and seamless integration between old and new. Where technology serves the music, not the other way around.
